For the first time, Gillette’s next generation razor blades have breakthrough technology on both the front and the back of the cartridge. Gillette Fusion Manual blades also have a Flexible Comfort Guard and an Enhanced Indicator Lubrastrip. Coupled with the Fusion razor’s improved forward pivot and ergonomically designed handle, Gillette Fusion delivers Gillette’s best shave ever.

The front of the cartridge has 5 blades spaced closer together, forming a shaving surface. The blades of the shaving surface are spaced 30% closer together than those of the MACH 3 Turbo. This configuration distributes the shaving force across the blades resulting in extraordinary comfort. In addition to more comfort, the 5 Blade Shaving Surface Technology also engages more hairs, more times with successive cutting action.

The back of the cartridge features a truly innovative Precision Trimmer. The Precision Trimmer is a single blade built into the back of the cartridge. To use the trimmer, consumers turn the razor over. In this position the pivot feature is locked, giving consumers control and allowing them to better align and manoeuvre the blade. The locked pivot allows consumers to easily shave tricky places like sideburns and under the nose.

Gillette Fusion features a new Flexible Comfort Guard. The new guard contains 15 microfins–5 more than the MACH 3 Turbo. The soft, flexible material surrounds the microfins creating an outer edge that wraps around the sides of the cartridge. This new Flexible Comfort Guard follows the contours of the face to help the shaving surface comfortably shave close.

The Indicator Lubrastrip has been enhanced. Shave by shave, the entire Indicator Lubrastrip–and not just one stripe–gradually fades from green to white when optimal shave conditions have been reduced. The Enhanced Indicator Lubrastrip is enriched with vitamin E and aloe.
